International Hellenic University (IHU) was invited to participate in the International Week (16-19 November 2021) organized by the Artevelde University of Applied Sciences, Bachelor of Preschool Education in Gent, Belgium. During this week IHU conducted three workshops entitled “Positive Education: Supporting children’s Positive Behaviors”, where academics and students from several EU countries had the opportunity to be informed about the “Resilient Preschools” project. In total 110 individuals (academics, teaching staff and students) participated in the workshops, where they were trained in selected activities of IO2 and they encouraged to visit the project’s website as well as project’s social media to find more information about the project.

ΣΤΟΧΟΣ

Το έργο RESILIENT PRESCHOOLS θα δημιουργήσει εκπαιδευτικό υλικό ειδικά σχεδιασμένο ώστε να παρέχει πρακτικές εφαρμογές και απαραίτητη υποστήριξη σε εκπαιδευτικούς προσχολικής εκπαίδευσης σχετικά με τον τρόπο αξιοποίησης της Θετικής Ψυχολογίας για τα παιδιά προσχολικής ηλικίας.

ΓΙΑΤΙ

Το Αναλυτικό Πρόγραμμα (ΑΠ) Προσχολικής Εκπαίδευσης στοχευει στην ολιστική ανάπτυξη των παιδιών προσχολικής ηλικίας. Η ανθεκτικότητα είναι μέρος του Τομέα Συναισθηματικής ενδυνάμωσης του ΑΠ, εντούτοις λαμβάνοντας υπόψη και τα δεδομένα που έφερε η πανδημία, προκύπτει η ανάγκη για περαιτέρω ενίσχυση της ψυχολογικής ανθεκτικότητας, τόσο των παιδιών όσο και των εκπαιδευτικών. Το Πρόγραμμα έχει σχεδιαστεί για να συμβάλει προς αυτή την κατευθυνση με παράλληλη ανάπτυξη εκπαιδευτικού υλικού.

Our team had the honour to participate in the Annual Conference of the International School Psychology Association (ISPA), the largest global school psychology association affiliated with UNESCO, presenting our work and findings from various initiatives and research projects we have been working on. The Conference was held in Cyprus between July 13th and 16th and our involvement in its workings, with multiple presentations, provided an excellent opportunity for us to showcase the work we do to contribute to policy development for education, teachers and learners’ well-being, and school improvement.
