The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (CPI) was founded in 1972 by a decision of the Council of Ministers and started operating in 1973 aiming to become “a center where the profession itself undertakes a critique of its activities, and where cooperative work is done by educators at all levels of seniority in the system, whether they are engaged in class teaching, in teacher training, in supervisory roles or in educational administration” (Weddell, UNESCO report 1971, p. 14, §3.9). The mission of the CPI is to cater for the continuous professional learning of in-service teachers at all levels so as to assist them in their efforts for professional and personal development.
The work of the CPI is, principally, developmental in character, addressing all levels of education. The mission of the CPI is the continuing professional learning of all teachers, in the context of the stated educational policy, and its work covers all levels of education operating towards various directions:
The IoD is an organization established in 2003. Its vision is to contribute to the improvement of the society’s quality of life through the continuous development of the individual, the family, and the human resources of businesses and educational organizations. The Institute promotes resilience, mindfulness, mental health, and a positive outlook to life, the boost of creative skills, increasing performance, resilience and experience of happiness. Its mission is to offer training, mentoring and counselling for human resources in schools, enterprises and other organizations in the public and private sector. The team of the Institute consists of 15 full-time and part-time project managers, researchers, trainers, lecturers and administrative staff. Since 2003, more than 400 workshops for teachers and young people and about 1200 lectures to parents have been delivered in Cyprus and Europe. For its educational and training activities, it collaborates with professionals from Universities from Cyprus and other EU Countries.
The theory, methods and practices used are based on the most modern evidence-based scientific approaches and more specifically on the principles of Positive Psychology, on the cooperative learning models, creative and critical thinking, multiple intelligences, and on character education based on values. The main activities of the Institute include trainings on subjects such as cooperative learning, digital skills, youth empowerment, self‐awareness, self-esteem, values and creative thinking, life and employability skills, positive psychology applications, career guidance and educational programmes (e.g. Science of self”, “ARETI”, “EAGLES, ‘’HOPEs”)

The International Hellenic University (IHU) has its headquarters in Thessaloniki. It was formed, based on Law 4610/2019 (Government Gazette 70/Α’/07-05-2019), by the merger of the International Hellenic University with the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (TEI of Thessaloniki), the Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia (TEI of Central Macedonia) and the Technological Educational Institute of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (TEI of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace). The total number of students are approximately 40000 and educational staff are around 600 people in total (permanent, associates etc.).
There are two main campuses in the city of Thessaloniki and the university has educational and administrative facilities in eight cities of Northern Greece. It is the only public university in the country, where many study programs (over 20) are offered in English. There are 7 Schools with 31 Departments in subjects and fields that meet the requirements of a modern university. IHU also includes a University Center for International Programs of Studies based in Thessaloniki, aiming to provide higher education in English to Greeks and foreigners of first, second and third cycle.
Moreover, there are more than 40 institutionalized laboratories and the University offers more than 50 postgraduate study programs (22 in English), some of which are cross-curricular or interdisciplinary. There are also many collaborations with universities and research centers in Greece and abroad while memoranda of cooperation have been signed with academic and social bodies, strengthening its position both in the Greek higher education sector and the European one.
University of Piteşti (UPIT) is a state university, located in Pitesti (in the Southern part of Romania, at 120 kilometers from the capital Bucharest). It aims being a dynamic and efficient HE provider in the region. Currently it is a recipient for approx. 10.000 students from Muntenia region.It has approximately 700 paid teaching and administrative staff. It consists of 6 different faculties offering Bachelor, Master and Doctor Diplomas (www.upit.ro).Its objectives are to provide high quality educational, training and research services in order to train specialists in different fields and to create an intellectual community accredited by national and international quality agencies.

The Municipality of Lousada is an institution of local public administration. It aims to pursuit the interests of the population in the territorial space of Lousada Council. The council of Lousada belongs to the district of Porto and has an extension of 95 Km2. The city assumes itself as the center of the region denominated Vale do Sousa since it is situated in its geographic center. It has approximately 50.000 inhabitants that are distributed within the 25 parishes of Lousada.
The Municipality of Lousada directs its action to achieve a sustainable development, to promote and boost the council at economic, social, environmental and cultural level, optimizing the use of available resources and striving for a public administration capable of responding to the growth objectives of the council and the needs of its citizens.
The Municipality mission is to define guiding strategies and execute the resulting municipal policies towards sustainable development of the municipality, contributing to the increased competitiveness of it, in local, regional and national levels, through measures and programs in various areas of their competence, promoting the quality of life of its citizens and ensuring high standards of quality services.
